Is there a way of temporarily changing the Save As and
Open dialogue boxes in Word 2000 so they conform to the
Windows standard?
I will be teaching some people with literally no
experience of computers the basics of Windows-based
computer applications and want to get them confident with
the much simpler Windows standard dialiogue boxes before
showing them how these dialogue boxes differ in Office
2000 applications.
Thanks in anticipation.
Dave
The dialog boxes in Office 2000 do comply with the Windows
standards in there basic content, then add additional features.
You could create VBA macros in the applications to produce a replacement
dialog, but there isn't a user interface accessible method
to replace the Office 2000 standard dialogs.
FWIW, from my training experience having to learn a program
two different ways could be more confusing for users than
seeing the dialogs and discussing the way the two dialogs
work the same (and cover the added features later).
