When I send e-mail using Outlook, many of the recipients are complaining
that the messages are coming in with very long lines (require scrolling
to the right). I think that my Outlook uses the Microsoft Word email.dot
template to ?format? the messages.
Is there a setting somewhere either in Outlook or Word which will allow
me to set the line length of my outgoing messages to 72 characters?

This usually happens when you are *not* using WordMail as your editor.
There are a couple of workarounds but the best fix is to install the
Internet Mail Enhancement Patch. Open Outlook and click Help|Ms on the
Web|Free Stuff. That will take you to a page
with download links to a number of Enhancements to Outlook, one of which
is the Internet Mail Enhancement Patch. Install the IMEP then review the
configuration details in the IMEPREAD.TXT file that will be installed with
it.
