We recently began our 2000 migration from NT 4.0 but in
the transition we are seeing the following error when
trying to open shortcuts on the desktops or executing
programs;

!Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product
Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Disc2 The windows installer
cannot continue.
I have ran the repair, reloaded svcpk and svc release, and
finally reloaded the application. The error continues to
return each time, I do have users that do not get this
error making it difficult to isolate the problem.
