I have tried to uninstall several times but all I get is the message 'This
product installation has been corrupted. Run set up again from the CD, DVD,
or other original installation source'.
Yesterday I was getting the 'MAP132.dll is corrupt or the wrong version'
message but this seems to have disappeared now!!! HELP???? I really need to
get Outlook working again. Can anyone advise me what to do?
Uninstall both Office versions. Run the MSCUI (Office clean up tool) to remove all vestiges of Office, reboot, and then install the oldest version first, followed by the newest version.
Select a Custom install for each version. If you want to use Outlook 2003, then make Outlook 2007 unavailable in the custom installation of Office 2007. (It should be unavailable anyway but it never hurts to check).
Be aware that using 2 versions of Office on the same OS partition will cause the dreaded "preparing to install" message each time to switch from one version to the other in the same program.

I have had no issues with my laptop so far, but have not been able to install Office Pro 2007. It does not even pass the first screen. The Blue-ray ROM is reading the disk content OK (i.e., file names etc), but while in setup.exe mode, it is making "clunky" noises and then displaying the venerable "Corrupt file/Disk" message.
The Office version ended up being for Windows Vista. From what I have heard/read, that should not be an issue. I have tried to install it as administrator but to no avail.
One thing I noticed in Setup.exe Properties is a "valid date of 4/4/06 - 4/10/07." Not sure if this has anything to do with its install. I have also turned OFF all Norton virus protections.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I am an IT trainer and own two legitimate versions of MS Office - Office Pro
Edition 2003 and Office Enterprise 2007. I have been using Office 2007 on my
laptop for a few months and then a few days ago decided to download Office
2003 onto my laptop AS WELL, as I need to teach both 2003 and 2007 versions.
Having downloaded Office 2003 I started having problems with Outlook so I
uninstalled both versions and reinstalled. Still had problems so decided to
uninstall Office 2007 but now am unable to do so!

Thanks Milly. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to open up your email - all I got
was a blank screen but I have seen your response here on the discussion page.
As I mentioned in my original note I have tried uninstalling 2007 but all I
get is the 'corrupt' message and it won't uninstall. How do I run the MSCUI
tool if I can't uninstall the programme?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 Be very careful with this utility.
It has been updated to work with Office 2007.
