How do you set up multiple email accounts in Outlook ?
I does not seem as easy as Express.

I can make the mail account but how do you view or change to the other
identity ?

Thank You

What type of email accounts are you referring to? Internet email? What
version of Outlook are you using?

Hello DVB:
Unfortunately, Outlook does not offer the ability to change identities
like Outlook Express does.
Assuming you have your multiple E-mail accounts set up correctly,
Outlook will check each account's E-mail server for new mail and download
any new messages.
You can simplify dealing with Incoming messages by setting up rules that
will deposit messages from your various E-mail accounts into separate
folders for those accounts.
If you wish to change the way messages you create appear, this will do
it:
1) Click Tools>Accounts.
2) Select the account you wish to change to and click Set as Default.
3) Click the Close button.
I share your pain as I go through this several times each day as I deal
with mail from my three E-mail accounts.
If someone has an easier way to do this, I would love to hear about it.

Hi,

Actually Outlook does support multiple profiles.

Goto Control Panel then click on Mail. Click on Sow Profile

You can set up additional profiles then set an option to Prompt to select
profile.

This works in Windows 2000.

regards,

Chris

This will work for Outlook 97 and 2002 and for Outlook 98 and 2000 in
Corporate/Workgroup mode.

It will not work, however, for Outlook 98 or 2000 in Internet Mail Only
mode, which is the configuration that the PCGuy was describing.

Since the original poster did not provide any information on his Outlook
configuration, perhaps he can just pick the answer that matches.

Hello Sue:
You are correct.
I use Outlook 2000 on a two-computer network.
In Settings>Control Panel>Mail, there is no Show Profile thinger.

Then you have Outlook 2002, and Chris' solution applies. To change profiles,
you need to restart Outlook. Don't forget, though, that you can have
multiple accounts in one Outlook profile.
