Do you have it still installed on your computer system?

If it is, you will be able to retrieve it using a product key recovery
utility tool, such as INNOBATE Product Key Recovery. You can download
it from http://www.cnet.com

If you had it installed and your office 2000 just got corrupt, then
this tool maybe able to get your product key code...... Otherwise, you
may have to get in contact with Microsoft Support.

I have no idea which is easier, getting Microsoft to re-issue you old
product key, or just buy another license with a new key.

The type of software Iryna B refers to does work but only, I found, on
existingly installed Operating Systems.

I personaly got rid of my desktop which had my Windows xp proffesional
product key on the caseUsing the type of software (as above) I could not
search the D:\ of my laptop to get the product code from my xp installation
disk (as I wish to install it on a PC for my daughter - I picked up an old
Dell with no operating system). The software quite happily provided me with
my vista product key - still leaves me in a quandry as some sites do provide
useable product keys which will enable me to continue with an upload of the
software but..., is it strictly acceptable to do so? Well... I'm not sure
