Hi Roland,

Good starting points for programming would be:

http://www.mvps.org/skp/index.html
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/

Google Groups (here you can search on the desired topic)
http://www.google.com/grphp?q=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=de&meta=

MS KnowledgeBase
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;kbhowto&sd=GN&ln=EN-
US&FR=0

Of course there are many more good websites...

Regards from Switzerland,

tito

Hello Roland,

A good site for sample code on automating Office applications is:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/techart/VSOfficeDev.htm

At the above, you will find under the Office Automation topic, lots of
samples and resources such as:

Q222101 - HOWTO: Find and Use Office Object Model Documentation
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q222/1/01.asp

Q222929 - HOWTO: Automate PowerPoint Using Visual Basic

Does anyone have any updated links for this kind of thing? Those have all suffered bitrot in the last 10 years.

I need to automate the creation of a big powerpoint slide deck, at the moment it's all updated manually. I need to generate some graphs and charts (currently done manually in Excel) and drop them into the powerpoint. Any suggestions on what tools to use for this? I know a lot of VBA and have done loads of Excel and Word automation, but not touched Powerpoint yet. I don't mind learning .net or PowerShell.

Thanks,

Phil Hibbs.
