I have a critical problem with PowerPoint 2007 (started happening from PP2003
and up) with any ActiveX control build with Delphi (that Object Pascal Win32
& .NET IDE was formerly built by Borland/Inprise, now by the CodeGear spinoff
of Borland that was transfered to Embarcadero):

All ActiveX controls built with it (from the simplest empty ActiveForm made
with Delphi's ActiveForm wizard to my QTVRControlX ActiveX control that shows
QuickTime content [MPEG4 audio/video, QuickTime VR Panoramic and Cubic scenes
etc.] inside PowerPoint) grow in size after user ends the presentation and
returns to design mode.

It isn't something that changed with Delphi, even older builds of my control
that used to work with say Office97 or Office2002 don't work as expected any
more and present this issue. Tried with the latest Delphi 2008 trial version
(Delphi2009 coming very soon) from CodeGear.com and even the simplest
ActiveForm does the same thing in PowerPoint. Those controls work OK in other
hosts and from my testing it is something related to pixel size (???) being
changed during the transition to presentation mode and back.

Not sure if the newer PowerPoint is using some ActiveX control container
spec that Delphi isn't implementing, but I wonder why it's only PowerPoint
that does this and why it started at recent PP versions.

For trying you can download my QTVRControlX ActiveX control from
http://www.zoomicon.com (then follow the "QT4All" link and go to the
downloads section to get the unregistered version of the control [is full
version with an unregistered version popup dialog when control inits])

TIA,
George Birbilis (Microsoft MVP J# 2004-2008, Borland "Spirit of Delphi" 2001)

PS. I should probably post this under "Hosting controls" section, but only 2
spam posts are there. Also there's no "PowerPoint" section :-(
