How to see if the opened excel workbook is embeded in other office

Is there a way to detect if the opened Excel worksheet is embedded and open
from another Office applications. For instance a embedded Excel workbook in
Word opened in Excel Application from Word Worksheet Object.

When an Excel is opened in this way I see under File Menu there is a change
in the menu for Close, it shows as Close & Return. Is there a way I can
detect the same using an API or property
