Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 includes fixes to recently reported
security issues and also delivers new features known as Auto-Proxy and
Auto-Configuration that have been requested by business customers.
One new feature is also the new Windows Address Book. The address book has
an import and export function supporting the most common address books'
formats, including Vcards.An other feature is the support for LDAP. That's
techno-speak for easy access to millions of e-mail addresses! Five of the
world's largest white pages directory services have agreed to open their
records to Internet Explorer. InfoSpace has joined the already announced
Four11, BigFoot, and (coming soon) WhoWhere? and Switchboard provide e-mail
addresses, telephone numbers, and other information to millions of Internet
users every day. Finding people is as easy as going to your Address Book,
clicking the Find button, and entering a name.
