Hi,

did you apply a fixed ip address?

on both you needed a mask 255.255.255.0 and the gateway (your way out to the
world behind the router or the www) 192.168.1.1
on each of them you needed a differnt ip address 192.168.0.2 and
192.168.1.10

address and mask will be influenced by the address your dhcp server in the
router is distributing

It could be that the distrubuted addresses are like 192.168.0.5
but mainly you need to check the address of the router which acts also as a
gateway.

it is possible that in the adhoc connection you did not fill out the gateway
so when restarting they cannot join the www as they don't know the address
of the router

bye
