Tracked mail CRM 4.0.

I am working in CRM 4.0 with Outlook 2007. When i track an email in CRM this
is directly in a closed state. I want to change tis behaviour so that the
tracked mail is automaticaly in a draft state. Is there a poosibilty to
change this?

I do not want any work arrounds with workflows or follow up functions.

When the mail is in a closed state there is no way that i can adjust the
duration and due fields. In a draft state i can adjust these fields and this
is what i want to achieve.
