How do I switch streams

I am planning to have a live audio and video feed from on of our
auction. Before the auction I want to have a "holding" video which
basically shows an image and plays some music, so the people watching
get some visual and audio before the actual show starts. Then when the
auction begins I want to cut to the live video stream.

How can this be done?

Why not just prerecord on video tape?

In Media Encoder when u want to shift to the live feed of auction just
insert a script. Have a handler of the script command on ur web page which
will take to the live feed.

SO as in using the URL command. I acually created an ASX file with two
items in the play list. When one item ends it moves on the the next
item, in this case the live feed.
