Within Business analytics we can selected a calculated total to compare/add
to a measure to get another calculated total by using the systax sum(0,c1,m1)
+ sum(0,d1,m4) within the same object. Is there some syntax to add calculated
totals that exist in different objects?

For example

Calulated total (NA Revenue) in Object 1 added to Calculated total (NA Cost)
in Object 2.

Assuming that by different object you mean in another cube? In 4.0 this
cannot be done from inside NAV. Using either BI Development Studio for SQL
2005 or Analysis Manager for SQL 2000 you can go and add another Calculated
measure to a Virtual Cube that contains data from both underlying cubes from
which you want to do calculations between. This, however, will no be
preserved if you execute the configurator from inside NAV meaning that you
will have to recreate the calculation each time this is done.
In BA for 5.0 we have added this functionality. This means that you can add
calculations in virtual cubes and this will be preservede each time the
configurator is run
Hope this was helpfull

I'm creating calculated totals within Business Analytics and not NAV. In
Business Analytics there are two cross tabulation tables (objects). I've
created calculated totals within each table (object). Each Table uses a
different cube for source data. I would like to take Calculated Total (object
1 - cross tab table1) and subtract from Calculated Total (object 2 - cross
tab table2)

Yes in 5.0 calculations can be done within the cube in NAV, but my issue is
each cross tabulation table in Business Analytics uses a different criteria
(local) to show data.

Hope this explains my question a little better.

Thanks

Can someone provide the dissection of the calculated total?
