romChoosing 'play all' from folder causes error

For the last week my Windows XP PC has been having trouble playing
audio when chosen from a folder. Any folder that has all audio in it
will have the option to 'play all' on the left hand menu. When I
choose this I just get the pop up window asking if I want to report
the error to Microsoft. Reboots don't help. I have WMP as my default
player. If I open that up and drag the filder to it, it plays just
fine. The first method has working in the past, it just changed one
day even though I have made no major changes to my PC, only regular
Windows updates.
Any ideas how to fix this, maybe registery edit of some sort? Is this
a known bug?
