How to play custom video file on windows media player

Hi all,
I have a custome video file format ( .vid extention). I have developed
the file source and decode filters in directshow. Everything works
fine with GraphEdit. Now I want to play this with Media Player. Can
anybody tell me how to register my file source filter so that Media
player uses to play this custome video file.

My mobile recored video files by separating video and auido as *.vid format
and *.wav format.
I unable to play *.vid.
Will you please tell me how to play this video file.
