how to display all records in query

I have a simple database with a few tables. In one table is an equipment
name and id and in another table stores the equipment usage in minutes as
well as a usage type value. Anyhow the query I have currently returns all
equipment with usage between a given date range so the output might look like
Equip Time Action
Exercise bike 25 min Pedal
treadmill 10 min walk

I would like to modify the query to show all equipment even if there is no
activity, just wondering if there is an easy way to do this?
