MSN causing disconnection from ADSL service ?

Experiencing repeated troublesome very annoying - disconnection from ADSL
service

red X appears MSN messenger tray icon and ADSL connection drops > 20 times
per day ( after email log in / out and use of web hotmail

Can only reconnect to ISP / ADSL service by Rebooting PC / connection to USB
/ an or Netgear wireless router disconnects

Tried using both netgear 8534 (G ) wireless router and also USB Speed touch
modem - same fault so not Hardware related -

Widows media 2005

Any ideas how to resove this isconnection from ADSL service ??
