Since I use and ethernet card and a high speed line I cannot use phone
option of messenger neither I can send files. This happen when I am on
line with my girl friend. She uses a 56k modem. However, she can send
me files. Same thing happen when she connects to another place witn
high speed line.

When I connect witn my girl friend from my office where I still use a
56k modem, I have no problem to use both functions.

Could the reason be that the time response be too slow and Messenger.
Anyone else had this problem? I made a new installation of MSN and it
does not help

Thank you

What kind of High Speed line are you using and is these a firewall or Router
involved ? Could be that some ports are not active on your high speed
connection.

I use MSN Messenger with a DSL connection at home and I have no
problem. I have found the phone feature works much better than Yahoo
messenger.
