how do you get an msn.com acct. to work with OE6?

I signed up with one for the .net passport, then i added it
as a normal hotmail acct., but it won't log on to download
the folders. The settings are correct. I get an error saying
the service isn't available.

i have hotmail accts. that work fine.

Hello anon,

Glad to see that the .NET Passport Wizard is getting a workout so soon. :)

The settings for @msn.com accounts are slightly different.

At last check these work...

MSN.COM Mail: http://mail.msn.hotmail.msn.com/cgi-bin/sbox // http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp // http://oe.msn.msnmail.hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmdata/

Note: Outlook Express 6.0 has @msn.com support directly in the prog. You can just select MSN from the drop down list when choosing HTTP mail services instead of Hotmail.
