I haven't been able to access any mail on Hotmail for
three days now. I know there are other postings that say
MSN is having problems, but does anyone know A)how long
it's going to take or B)is there any way to get the
process sped up? My email access is essential to my
business, and without it, I'm hosed.

Then you are hosed.  By their own admission msn does *NOT* have the caliber of service that would qualify for business use.  Indeed - their own agreement states that msn email is to be used for entertainment only.

-Jim-
With MSN, failure is not an option.
It comes bundled with the service.

says.....

First, you should not be using Hotmail for business purposes.

Second, we need to know, are you using Internet Explorer or Outlook Express
or Outlook to access your email?

I've been trying to access email on the Hotmail website
directly through IE. It says I'm using 72% of my storage
space, but it says I have no messages in any of my folders.

When I try to access via Outlook Express, I get an error
message that says:

The server reported an internal error.
Account: 'a_d...@hotmail.com',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp'
, Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Internal Server
Error', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC3D

I've also tried to create a new access account in Outlook
Express. I get the same response. HELP! IT'S BEEN FOUR
DAYS SINCE I'VE HAD EMAIL ACCESS!

Make sure you have no mail rules enabled when downloading the email in OE.

I double checked: no rules are enabled in OE, and I turned
off all filters on Hotmail. No changes whatsoever.

I suspect there is a corrupt email in your inbox, or the inbox itself is
corrupt, evidenced by your statement that 72% of your capacity is used, yet
all folders are empty (I assumed you have checked your junk messages
folder?). The next step is to contact Hotmail support to see if you can
get your mailbox deleted and recreated.

Do you know how I can contact Hotmail? I've checked all
over the Microsoft, MSN and Hotmail sites and can't find
anything.

You will have to be patient - the first few times you'll get an
autoresponse triggered by keywords, but after a few back and forths a
**real person** should jump in.

Because of the autoresponder, use as few words as possible - "my inbox is
corrupt" is a good start.

Good luck.

Hello Aman,

Have your issues been resolved? Are you a paying MSN subscriber?

I tried to do some searching on that error number, but can't seem to find
much. It is possible your account has become malformed, and requires MSN
Hotmail to fix it. Have you contacted MSN Hotmail support via the link that
Sandi gave you?
