Windows Live Hotmail backend update released
While the Windows Live Hotmail team is working on interesting new
features they dropped another build on their servers that mostly
covers backend stuff. The only change you will notice is the new WL
Header with the MSN link that has found its way to most other Windows
Live properties... For the flashy stuff like full POP support, or an
improved classic mode we have to wait a little longer.

Oh, and before you try: This does not work with IE8 standards mode
yet

Old news...been present for quite some time. Hopefully in the future the folks at LiveSide will recognize things a bit sooner :)

Agreed..
Both of my legacy pop3 msn.com accounts and also my Windows Live Hotmail
Plus accounts(all using the Pop3/Smtp Live.com settings) are rock solid
and void of the free hotmail issues reported in this forum.

As is my Qwest Choice DSL with MSN Premium. Other Qwest users report
similar experience. I don't know if I would subscribe to DSL just to get
good pop3 though. There has to be a cheaper way, such as Hotmail Plus.
