MSN has been okay as a dial-up service. Now I'm getting broadband
(clear.com) and would like to know -

1) If I cancel my MSN account, what happens to my email? Can I continue
to use the same x...@msn.com address through the Hotmail portal?

2) Or must I get a new Hotmail or gmail account and go through the hassle
of changing it all over? [I am not inclined to use a x...@clear.com address,
although they will probably assign me one.]

3) If I do cancel MSN, how long will I have access to my email? Do they
give a 2 month grace period for example?

4) If I do cancel MSN, how can I save my address book/contact list?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bob

It converts to a free account at the same address with no other change. Yes, you
can access it using a web browser, via Windows Live Mail, the Outlook Connector
and Microsoft Outlook, or via POP/SMTP using the email client of your choosing.

No, you will not lose your @msn.com account

Forever. Well, as long as you access the account every once in a while it will
remain active as a free account.
