Hi

I use XP Professional. How do I know if MSMQ is installed or not?

Hi Ewa,

Do you mean manually or programatically?

You can get a full health check of your MSMQ installation using TMQ:
887220 Description of TMQTools utilities for Microsoft Message Queuing
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;887220

Or you can simply look in
Control Panel\Add-or-remove-programs\Add-Remove-Windows-Components
and see if Message Queuing is ticked.

Or you can check in the registry
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters

Or look in the MSMQINST.LOG file.

Or run "NET START MSMQ" from the command prompt.

And so on.

Cheers
