When I access the camera using AMCAP (DirectShow) the maximum framerate for
720p is 15 fps. Likewise, when I capture video using the Lifecam software the
movie exports are at 15 fps.
Does the webcam support 30 fps at 720p or not? Or should the box say
"Maximum of 15 fps at 720p, and 30 fps at at lower resolutions"
I've the same problem.
On WinXP, I can reach 720P@15FPS.
On Win7 32 or 64, I can reach 720P@10FPS.
When I uninstall the Lifecam Drivers on Win7, AMCAP can reach :
720P@10FPS on YUY2
720P@30FPS on MJPEG
So the webcam is able to reach 720P@30FPS but in MJPEG. I wonder when
Microsoft will write a driver supporting the full capability of this webcam.
Regards
Too bad....

MJPEG is not used by any videoconferencing software.

Lifecam Cinema HD, framerate at 720p (1280x720) ?
I recently purchased two Lifecam Cinema HD webcams as they came advertised
as "720p sensor captures true HD quality video at up to 30 fps."
When I access the camera using AMCAP (DirectShow) the maximum framerate for

This is a great question.
This is a great question. People that buy a webcam specificaly for high def
would expect a true high def image at 30 frames. someone speak up.
