Product: Microsoft Remote Keyboard For Windows XP Media Center Edition v1.0
OS: Vista Ultimate

I have downloaded the intelitype 6.1 drivers, but this kbd is not listed as
an option. Anyone know how I can get it up on vista?

FYI: The remote keys Up/Right/Ok/Start (media center)/etc work fine, but all
the mouse/keyboard keys do nothing.

addendum... if I try and go d/l intelitype directly for this modle it says...

Keyboard

Remote Keyboard for Windows® XP Media Center

Remote Keyboard for Windows® XP Media Center Edition requires Microsoft
Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Windows® Vista® Home Premium or
Ultimate. Earlier Media Center Edition versions are not supported.

If you are using Microsoft Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005, you must
also install all the available Media Center updates from:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com for full functionality.

There is no option do download anything.

The Remote Keyboard drivers are built into the OS (for Vista).
Intellitype Pro does not do anything for the Remote Keyboard.

Ok i'm experiencing the same thing. But... I'm trying to link the Microsoft
Remote Keyboard for XP to my Laptop.
I've purchased the IR reader, plugged that in no worries, and like you the
navigation buttons work in Media Center, but the mouse and keyboard don't
work with the desktop (i've got a HP Pavillion Laptop with Vista Home
Premium). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can anybody help me??
Surely there is a download or a patch to get these two to talk to
eachother???

David, did you manage to fix the problem??

Kindest regards.

Has anyone managed to install a remote keyboard on a Vista machine??

We have it connected to a central Media PC, going through a video matrix switcher. The remote keyboard is the only way we can get an IR signal to control the internet aspect.

Or can anyone help me by suggesting another keyboard??

Thanks everyone

Hi, Barry,
You might have better luck with this question in a Vista newsgroup, like

Has anyone managed to get their microsoft remote keyboard for windows xp to
work with Vista yet?.... Microsoft reckons it should work ok with Vista (I
havae Ultimate) but as with everyone else, the media centre keys work, but
the mouse and actual keyboard keys don't. Microsoft will charge £46 to
attempt to resolve the issue.... surely, this is immoral where the problem is
clearly with the procudt and not the users' pack of knowledge.

All people need to do with Vista is just insert Batteries, aim the keyboard
at sensor and press the start button! It works instantly with out having to
download anything. Good luck people!
