i have a wireless microsoft 6000v3.0 keyboard and mouse. while typing an
email, got a sticky key notice and couldnot use the shift key to type a
capital letter or any of the key strokes displayed above the number keys.
also, i can only get one space or keystroke at a time. if i use the caps lock
key, i can type the cap. i have reset the sticky key, set all the key
buttons to default and went to a restore point without getting rid of this
problem. any suggestions - couldn't type a question mark even with the caps
lock.

This is windows implementing "sticky keys" ...has nothing to do with the
hardware keyboard itself.

afaik, there is no way to absolutely turn sticky keys off... it
automatically starts if you press the <shift> key multiple times even if
it is unchecked in "accessibility options'

It is _supposed to_ turn off if you then press two keys at once, but I
have found that rapidly pressing the left and right shift keys one after
the other is more effective in "clearing" an accidentally set "sticky key"

I see what you mean. I did solve the problem though. I removed my Microsoft
keyboard and mouse and reinstalled my Logitech keyboard and mouse. It's all
back to normal now.
