Will MSDN subscribers be able to download a beta of Everett?

I noticed that we coulda get the SMS, .NET 2003 server, and the XP service
pack when they were/are in beta... Doesnt it make sense that we should be
able to test Everett?

We will be posting the Visual Studio .NET 2003 Final Beta for download as
well as shipping it on CD. We will definately post the CD ISO images, and
may provide two large self extracting files (~2gb each) as well.

Thanks,
Mike

Excellent news!

Do you have any idea of a timeframe for this?

Hi,

the Shipment highlights on the subscriber pages mentions 21. December 2002.

Hope this helps.

The plan is to have VS.NET 2003 Beta available for Universal subscribers at
the same time as the launch of the product sites on Sunday evening at around
5:00. Now, before everyone starts building scripts to start downloading all
4 GB of files (including the Library) at 1 second after 5 PM on Sunday, I'd
ask for a bit of patience if download times are slow. We've added a fair
bit of capacity to our download servers, but a large spike in downloads of
such a large package could slow things down a bit for the first day or so.
I will post a general announcement on the newsgroups when Everett is
published.
