I didn't really think that all this info on winzip was very funny!

I just looked at the code to this thing... It's so simplistic that I cannot believe there is no bug fix for it.

MS should have a 'This webpage is trying to open infinite browsers' dialog, like the 'This webpage is trying to close the window' dialog.

Geez. Dark ages or something. while true open window. Bah.

I suppose there is no reason why it shouln't be - if the script had been part of the post then it would have been different - but as with any attachment it is up to us to open it - !

If Dr.Solomon and McAfee class this as a Trojan, (although only minor) the person should be traced.
Yes, I opened it before anyone replied, I don't know how I stopped all the windows, but did (I think control-break).

well - if they class this as a Trojan then to my kowledge they are completly wrong - this is nothing more than an annoying script - ! - unless opening new windows comes under Trojan ?

Yes, James, perhaps not a Trojan as we know it.
It could have been possible that a crash could have occurred, with loss of data of open documents though?
So it could have been in the class of causing potential damage, like dangerous driving, no damage has to occur for prosecution.

I see yes, and agree  - but I think that people would be less scared off if that was made clear - it makes it difficult when people start saying 'oh I've heard that Javascript is dangerous' - which it is not.

I think that way too.
Java, VBS, and HTML just makes things more interesting all round.
I suppose this subject is off track from MSAgent stuff. Best drop it.
