Does Netscape Support VBScript?

I have been looking around at this Microsoft Agent

I want to learn but I am confused as to witch would be

better to run on a web page. VBScript is suppose to

be easier to learn but I would be limiting the people to

my website because Netscape does not support VBScript

and there is very little information out there on tutorials on VB

whereas Jscript is all over the place and everyone has a book

on it, That are easy to understand and actually guide you through

the learning process. Hey whats the deal my post are pulled off

the boards within a couple of hours of being posted.Did I hurt

someones feelings at Microsoft

Netscape does not support VBScript. But that's okay because it won't do
ActiveX either. So realistically Netscape users will not be able to view
your Agent enhanced web pages anyway.

I think the real question is how much of your audience are you going to put
out. Take a look at http://www.statmarket.com/page.cgi?browsers
You'll see that Internet Explorer (IE 3.0 & 4.0) now accounts for 67% of
browsers in use today and Netscape Navigator (NN 3.0 & 4.0) only 31%. And
it's interesting that of IE users only 11% are still using version 3.0 where
NN users still have 20% using 3.0. NN users are slow to upgrade their
browsers. They are really missing out with DHTML and CCS becoming more
popular. I think if users understood the whole standards issue, everyone
would go with a more compliant browser like IE 4.0. And hey, it does
MS-Agent too!

Try checking the NCompass web site. They offer an ActiveX plug that supports
not only ActiveX controls for Netscape, but also includes VBScript.
