WAY COOL!!
I did it. I sent myself an E-mail with the agent
(finally figured out it was an attachment).
I'm so happy!
Thanks for all the info everybody.
Keep it coming though, this is just a baby step.

Good job, B.K.! The first step is the hardest! Now you can just play and
have fun. Sure, there is a ton of stuff to learn and a lot of things to do,
but at least now you know you can what interests YOU. That sure was a
relief for me. And it took a while before I figured out how to use others'
scripts for my own use. By going through past posts, you will find a wealth
of information and a lot of scripts that you can easily modify. So, jump in
head first and enjoy!!! That's what I did and have had a ball doing so.

Best regards,
Bob

The "Agent Fun" newsgroup that Grandpa Jim mentioned has a lot of good stuff
in past posts. Much lighter in tone than the other newsgroups. 8-) I
recommend going to it if you want to learn how to do some entertaining
things with Agents. And please remember to post if you have questions.
Find what interests you and go with it! The others can offer expert advice
and I can offer a rookie's view. Let us know how we can help.

Ohhhhh, Aravind, you need to get out more often <g>! I'm so green around
the gills they mistake me for algae. I have NO programming experience nor
any formal computer training. Just an insomniac that loves to play on the
computer. I used to be one of those geeks in school that made the little
stick figure animations inside of books. Now that I'm an old man, heh heh,
my toys are a bit more advanced, but the childish glee of seeing animated
figures is still there. I love this Agent stuff.

Hey, you know Bob, when I think of you and Rob, I always think of those two guys on NextStep in Discovery Channel, I don't know their names, but by any chance you people are not them, are you? In my part of the world, at 9:30 AM on discovery channel, this futuristic prog., named NextStep is shown. I don't miss it for my life! And in that prog., 2 guys named phil(?) and paul(?) are hosts and they kinda talk like you people. So I always get their picture when I see your messages.

If I'm on Discovery Channel, somebody better send me a big ol' check really
quick! Unless one of them is a tall, ugly, red-headed guy with a nasty
disposition, then it's not me. But then there's Rob . . . space alien or
Discovery Channel star??? Who knows. All I know is the boy sure knows how
to have a little fun every now and then.

That show is totally cool, but those guys are way too old for me to be one of them.

I'll tell you one thing though, they had this British or Australian woman on the show that was right up my alley. It would be the most awesome job to check out the newest sci fi helicopter cars with built in toasters and hang out with Fine Young Australians.

Thanks for the daily beef to my imagination.

I remember they were telling that ".....and those two(referring to the 'answer guys') haven't gone on a single date in their lives"....I hope it isn't the same with you people.

Well, Rob and Bob, by any chance are you two related to each other? (R/B ob?) Maybe twins or something? I read a survey that parents named their 'simultaneously born children' = twins, with the same 'ending vowels'. In your case -- 'ob' and 'an'.

Oh, my God, I would hate to think that there was more DNA out there like me.
Fortunately for Rob, we are no relation. That I know of <g>. And to refer
to me as anything resembling an "answer guy" is waaaaay out of line. I'm
the "question guy". But if Rob is scandalously rich and on his death bed,
then perhaps there is a link I should look into . . . . You listenin',
Bro?!? As for dates, I've been married for 17 years, so that isn't much of
an issue. I only hope my wife believes that! Sure wish I was having as
much fun as Aravind is thinking!

I have no relatives. After they continually crashed my operating system all
the time, I decompiled them to look at their source code, and discovered
that they were merely monochrome bitmaps with a repetive for-next loop of
anti-rob logic. So I deleted that folder, and installed a new operating
system that was pro-rob.

Glad that you kept the source code zipped on your DNA bubble memory. We'd
hate to lose them all. Some of them make excellent screen savers for
holidays
