Firts let me say I too am very upset with Msft dicontinuing Deluxe Portfolio
as well as Online Services for Money.

In an attempt to use Portfolio manager Preview, there is one critical thing
I would like to see implemented in this Tool, and it is the ability to enter
custom securities with manually updated prices.

A portfolio manager is only usefull if it has ALL of your assets so you can
track your net worth. The current portfolio manager preview does not support
a number of securities, and even if they improve this in the future, there
will always be some kind of investments is does not support.

As a result, it is essential to allow us to enter security with unrecognized
symbol, so we can make sure the portfolio reflects all of our assets, and let
us enter the price manually.

This worked great in the Deluxe Portfolio Manager and allowed me to put in
ALL my investments from various brokers, giving me a global view of my
investments.

Now among smaller things I miss in the new tool, are the Total Cost (we only
have total purchase, Total sales and total Dividends, but not the most
usefull total cost), and the Average cost of a security. These are pretty
essential in allowing a quick view of how an investment has been doing over
time.

Hoping....
