As far as I know, you can't. You have two options:

1) Revert to the last backup right before you did that, then re-download
transactions

2) If option 1 isn't available, the problem you have is that you
have only one transaction and you need two. You wrongly matched
a downloaded transaction to an already existing transaction.
Which means you either lost the already existing transaction (the
downloaded transaction over wrote it) or you lost the downloaded
transaction (the already existing transaction overwrote the
downloaded one). Which ever one is missing, manually enter that
transaction and manually enter it as reconciled.

Let me know if this isn't what you're trying to do.

I ended up just re-downloading the same transaction to get it to unaccept the
transactions that I want to unaccept.

The reason why I want to unaccept is a little hard to explain so I hope you
can bear with me here.
1. I have a 2 yr old mortgage account
2. I have payments automatically debited from savings account
3. I have a scheduled Bill for this automatic payment
4. I noticed recently that the first 4 payments made (about 2 yrs ago) were
properly done. That is, principal and interest has been correctly calculated
by Money. Also, the Pmt Num field in the mortgage account's register is
properly populated.
5. After the first 4 payments, the information shown on the mortgage's
register is incorrect bec. the entire payment is categorized as principal
payment (interest is zero), so the balance of the mortgage is incorrect. And
the Pmt Num field is now blank.
6. All the payments from my savings account is categorized as Loan Payment
to the mortgage account, and when I look at the details, it shows that
principal and interest as "Calculated", even though interest is now being
calculated as zero.

I'm now trying to experiment on how I can fix this problem. I think I'm
getting close, but not quite yet so I appreciate some advice. Here's what
I've done so far.

1. I reset the clock of my computer to 2 yrs ago before the mortgage
started. This way, a scheduled Bill can be created that starts with the
mortgage's first payment.
2. I create a new mortgage account, populating with the correct information.
3. A scheduled Bill has been created that starts with the mortgage's first
payment 2 yrs ago.
4. I manually create a qif file that contains all the mortgage payments I've
made in the last two yrs and open it in Money. This now allows me to match
the payments with the scheduled Bill I created above (which is why I wanted
to unaccept the transactions)
5. I manually change the category of the payments from the savings account
register so it's now a Loan Payment to the new mortgage account.
6. When I look at the details of the Loan Payment, it shows the correct
Principal and Interest amounts. My question is: Why isn't this showing as
"Calculated" like it used to? Also, the Pmt Num field is not being properly
populated by Money so I'm thinking there's probably a better way of doing
this.

Any expert's advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Yeah the payment number field started not populating for me, too.
I just went into the Loan and manually added them to each payment..
But why the entire payment is categorized as principle is beyond me.
For my mortgage, my bank calculates the loan interest in a way that
is different than how money calculates loan interest. If I want it
correct, I have to wait until my bank has received the payment and
tells me the principle/interest split. Then I go into my checking
account and manually enter that split.

When manualy enter my split, the transaction is categorized as

"Loan Payment : Mortgage"

And in the Details it shows the actual amounts that Money calculated
for principle/interest. I can manually change them and I'm good.
The only place that I ever see the "calculated" details is in the
scheduled bill & deposit. But after it's entered into the register
I can change it.

So basically, I've never seen the problem that you're experiencing.
But this is definately broken. You might try repairing your
money file.

I'm not sure why you're creating a qif file. There's nothing
magic about transaction downloading that requires you to make sure
that every transaction entered in your register is matched with
a downloaded transaction. All downloading does is inform you of
new transactions that you don't know about. Money then tries to
guess as to whether some of those transactions are already known,
and allows you to match the downloads to existing transactions.
But the only purpose of downloading is to get transactions into
your register. Once they're correctly entered in your register
(whether entered manually or downloaded) you're done. Creating the
qif file just so that you can match each and every transaction
doesn't do anything to make your register more accurate.

What you're seeing here is the correct behavior. What's going on
with the other loan is strange.

There's only one other comment I would make. I don't know if
you do this, but I've gotten into the habit of clicking on my
scheduled bills & deposits and entering them into my register
*before* I download the matching transactions. This is especially
important with scheduled transfers. A loan payment is a special
type of transfer.

Please let me know if I can provide any further assistance.

When editing a scheduled Loan Payment comes to mind. No other case does.
