Being new to MOM, I'm looking for a way to create a performance baseline for
each agent-managed server. This baseline would measure things like RAM page
reads, disk reads and processor time over a 24 hour period. I see the
Performance Rules in the Base OS Rule Group but how can that information be
gathered for a baseline in the WE?

Thanks.

Hello CSeiler,

MOM is out of the box collecting baseline data for your core 4 subsystems
(CPU-Mem-Disk-Ntwk), so reporting performance would be the challenge I presume.
You could try the \Operational Health Analysis\Performance Analysis report
which allows you to select counters of your choice. However, I believe the
default date range on the report is 7 days, so you'd need to export the report
and change the default date range to 24 hours.

If you go this route, you can find instructions on that last item at
http://www.momresources.org/momguides/DefaultReportDateRange.pdf#search=%22change%20default%20date%20range%20on%20MOM%20report%22

Thanks for the info, Pete. Yes, I am looking for a baseline performance
report. Is that analysis available with the Workgroup Edition since the
reporting functionality is not part of the package?

Oh, no reporting role in Workgroup Edition.
