Hi Phillip

There should be a logfile in the %temp% directory named MOMServer.log.
What does it tell you? Also what is the exact error you get during the
installation?

Anders,

Hello and thank you for the response. I'll check the log but there is no
error in the installation. What happens is when it comes to the screen to
select the SQL DB (there is only one on the server and it is populated
already in the drop down) I click the "next" button and nothing happens. The
mouse goes to an hourglass for approximately 4 seconds then returns to the
pointer. I can click next all day long and the button depresses, the mouse
changes but the installation does not continue. If I click back or cancel,
those work. Once I get back to the server I'll check for the log and provide
an update.

Thanks again!
Phillip

Hello Phillip K.,

To install MOM 2005 Workgroup Edition on SQL 2005 Standard, I believe you
will need to run a silent MSI install.

msiexec /i [location of CDImage]\MOMServer.msi /qn /l*v %TEMP%\MOMWorkgroupEdition.log
ENABLE_ERROR_REPORTING=1 SQLSVR_INSTANCE=[MACHINE]\[SQL2005INSTANCE] ACTIONSUSER=[account]
ACTIONSPASSWORD=[password] ACTIONSDOMAIN=[DOMAIN] MOM_2005_SP_INSTALL=1 MS_MPS=[Location
of CDImage]\ManagementPacks\Setup
