This was something difficult to achieve in MOM2005 without amending the
VBScript doing the monitoring - however amending the script seems to be no
longer an option in Operations Manager 2007.

Example Scenario:
I want to override the thresholds for the D: drive on ServerA, without
affecting the D: drive on ServerB or any other drive on either ServerA or
ServerB.

Using disables/overrides I can either override ServerA non-system drives, or
for all D: drives, but I cannot seem to override only for the D: drive on
ServerA. Any suggestions welcome.

You need to override the monitor for a specific object, or create a group
that contains the objects you want the overeride to apply to.

For instance, under Windows Server 2003 Logical Disk\Entity
Health\Availability, right-click the Logical Disk Free Space monitor, select
Overrides\Override the Monitor\For a specific object of type: Windows Server
2003 Logical Disk. This should bring up a listing of every instance and you
could then select the drive you want the override to apply to. Then jsut set
the properties for - let's say - % free space and available MB and there you
have it. Or create a new group that just contains the specific drives that
you want to monitor and then apply the override to the group.
