I just installed the SCOM2007R2 product in a test-environment. Installation
of SCOM itself runs fine. Roles split over 3 servers: SQL server for DB, RSM
server for main SCOM roles and a separate WebConsole server.
SQL and RMS on a Windows 2003 SP2 32 bit server, the Webconsole on a Windows
2008 SP1 64 bit server.
I can depoy an agent using the discovery wizard and the wizard reports
Success. I tried installing using the preconfigured action account as wel as
using my own domain admin credentials.
What happens is that the server remains listed under "Pending Management",
and I can't Approve the nodes (grayed out). The event viewer reports an
obious error "A device at IP 10.219.14.18:58412 attempted to connect but
could not be authenticated, and was rejected."
This error appears many times for each node trying to install the agent.
There are no firewalls in between the servers (all in one subnet) and the
windows firewall is turned of. The same servers were previously used for a
SCOM2007 SP1 (non R2) test and then this error did not appear.
All SPNs of the nodes look ok and connectivity (ping) is possible between
all nodes.
I hope anyone can help here.
Thanks in advance,
Eric
