OPS MGR 2007

Hi All

Got the same issue:Error Validating current user and server.
Please make sure the Operations Manager SDK service is running on Root
Management Server, the user running setup is MOM Administrator. Also make
sure this computer is not already agent or gateway.

But I get the issue when trying to install the additional Management server.

Where I enter SDK service account credentials then I get this error.
I have already installed my RMS cluster on the RMS servers, and now I am
trying to install more management servers.
It this error related to the fact that I ran the(OPS) console on these
servers?
How exacly can I fix this?

Hi Bongani,

The user that runs the setup needs to be both local adminstrator and member
of the ops mgr administrator security group. is it?

Yes the user is actualy the enterprise administrator.
I have even tried the user that is the overall administrator on the domain
and local.

Event if it is enterprise admin it must not be in the ops mgr security group.
You have to verify that, no one is member of that group with default settings.
