MCF_MOM Server 2005_ Retrieving Alert information

Hi Guys,
Can some please let me know where exactly a MOM connector looks into to
retrieve Alert information when using MCF. Is it the Alert table or the
MCF_AlertCache table in OnePoint database? If it is MCF_AlertCache who (MOM
or MCF) and when it inserts a record in to MCF_AlertCache? Is it the same
time when an alert is inserted into Alert table the same will be inserted
into MCF_AlertCache or that basing on the Connector settings?
