Hi,

I have imported the SQL Server 2008 MOM pack on MOM 2005

I am getting the following event (and the corresponding alert) on MOM
2005
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Type: Information
Provider Name: Script-generated Data
Event Number: 21207
Provider Type: Generic Provider
Source: Microsoft SQL Server Management Pack (MSSQLSERVER)
Category:
Raises Alert: True
Consolidated:
From:
To:
Event Id: b02cb924-e3a6-4973-81c1-09ecd9055eba

Description:
Service SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) has gone from UNKNOWN to STOPPED in
the last 0 seconds.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason of the event is not a problem, as the service is stopped.
But can anyone please tell me the origin of this event.

The script name, maybe, as this is a script generated data.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Mohini,

In MOM 2005, in the detail pane of the operators console, when you have selected
an alert, you can see which rule generating the alert. If you then open the
administrator console and move down to that rule you can find the information
source.

Hi Anders,

The source of alert was the event that I described in my last post.
I wanted to know if I can find the source of that event.

Thanks!
