Hi,

I am constantly see this error in the Operations Manager 2005 Alerts view:

Severity: Warning
Status: New
Source:
Name: Error 500: "Internal Server Error" - Alert
Description: A page generated an internal error.

Website Name W3SVC1506443745 Web Page: /<URL>
Domain: TEST
Agent: SERVER1
Time: 7/12/2008 17:23:39

The path for the Rule Is:

Microsoft Windows Internet Information Services\Internet Information
Services 6.0\Core Services\World Wide Web Publishing Service\

What attribute is this working off from IIS? Can somebody tell me what
attribute this is working off from IIS. How is this information located?

My guess is it just looks at the default page on every web site that has
been configured under the IIS tab.

Thanks,

Ward.

Ward,

Check the Provider tab to see where the criteria for the rule are read from.
In the case of this rule, the rule is triggered by the W3SVC logs. A 500
event in the log will trigger this alert.
