The only advice I can give now is for you to try the setup again. Now that
you know your way around the install procedure and configuration. When I was
first trying the same setup I was getting very frustrated hence why I wrote
the whitepaper. I remembered reading a statement that you must install
certain elements at certain times. IE. you must install and configure the
SSL certificate on the MIS server prior to installing ActiveSync Server. If
you installed the other way then it is likely that this can cause problems.
Therefore I suggest starting again and this time follow the steps on the
whitepaper as they appear.
Is you PDA pocket PC 2002 ?

thanks for your help.
I will try it again, only one question.
I make the certificate at thwate.
I installed the certificate on my server. One problem:
If I called the site "https://myserver" I get this answer.
The date is guilty, the name is guilty, but the
certificate have some failure. The factory is not
believable. Does it matters. Or made i a failure.
Best regards

After installing the Thawte Cert on your web server you should be able to go
to the address by typing https://myserver.mydomain.local , remember if you
dont want to be prompted for invalid certificate ( it is not in your IE
list of trusted certs becuase this Thawte certificate is a test certificate
only ) install the client part of the certificate on the client that you are
testing IE on to connect to the MIS server.
I haven't come across the error regarding name and date being guilty before
I am afraid.
Keep going trust me after a few goes and installing the right part in the
right order it will work trust me.
