Outlook 2007 suddenly has a missing email folder

I keep a lot of emails with folder names showing each customer.
When I went to store an email in a specific customer folder, it's gone. the
strange thing is I highlight ALL MAIL ITEMS, run a search on the customer
name and many emails appear showing they are in the correct Folder... but I
can't see the folder name in the left column!
How do I get it to reappear?
