samsung propel, can't sync vista

I am at my wits end. I bought a new Samsung Propel A767 and cannot get it to
sync my Outlook 2003 calendar. It DID sync my contacts. I am ready to
throw the phone and the vista laden computer into the woods! I have
downloaded the Samsung PC Studio 3. Windows Mobile Device Center does not
'see' the phone.
