Using CreateFile/WriteFile/CloseHandle

We're using these functions to provide logging functionality in an MTS/COM+
environment.

Should calls to these functions be wrapped in a critical section? That is,
if we don't, would we encounter corruption or blocking if two component
instances tried
to call into use these functions at the same time?

We're not seeing any problems with the code but would like some additional
assurances regarding the thread-safeness in a high-capacity application -
given that they are not currently called in critical sections.

Any comments?
