Hello,

I have a system which is collecting data from several serial networks (six),
and feeding them back. I have a COM ActiveX EXE program which sits between
the clients and the data collection, which determines the validity of data
collected, and also fires events to clients to inform them when certain
events happen, with regard to the data collected from the serial networks.

I seem to have a bottleneck in my ActiveX EXE, as it cannot service all the
clients and data collection programs (6 of them).

The clients are not placing a large load on the ActiveX, but rather it seems
to be suffering processing data from the 6 data collection programs.

Can anyone offer advice on how I can optimise this??

Should I use MTS in some way?? or is there something more fundamental??

Thanks

Paul, I am not sure but you could check the treading model. If it is
single threaded then requests will be queued into a single process at a
time. Try Apartment threaded.

Perhaps what I am saying only applies to COM+ (or MTS)...

check it out
