I have this driver running on Vista and its perfect. Now Windows update
advisor tells me that this driver is not compatible with Windows 7. I know
that Microsoft has update drivers but I am not sure and seeking advise.
I am looking for the specific name of the driver, if one is available for
Windows 7/ Vista.

Go to http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Don't use Microsoft's drivers. Get them from the manufacturer.
