Conversion is not possible unless you have a good deal of money to spend,
besides which, it's not necessary. As long as you have a valid Exchange
Server profile, you can start Outlook in offline mode (assuming you no
longer work where the Exchange Server is and have no more access to your
mailbox stored on it), create an empty .PST file, then drag and drop
everything from your .OST into your new .PST. If you still have access to
the mailbox, the process is even simpler, just create a new .PST file then
drag everything in your mailbox into it. DO NOT use Outlook's .PST
export/import functions, they are broken and have been, they lose data, and
the import function usually corrupts the Outlook profile in use at the time.
Instead, make a copy of your newly created and filled .PST file, place this
copy in a folder on your new PC where it cannot overwrite any existing .PST
files, make sure it's not set Read Only (which will happen if you use a CD
to move the file between computers), start Outlook on the new machine, open
the copied .PST file using 'File|Open|Outlook Data File', then either drag
and drop it's contents into the new default .PST file created when Outlook
was installed and setup on the new machine, or make the copy the default and
continue to use it.
