Several of our users who receive high volumes of mail have deleted high
numbers of mail (200+) individually or all at once during a short period of
time, only to find that the mails are not appearing in their Deleted folder.
They are using the Microsoft Exchange client. (Latest revision.)

I've tried archiving and then importing from their folders, running the
inbox repair tool, etc ... but I can't get those deleted messages to
reappear. I've even tried manipulating the same .PST file from Outlook,
with no success.

The .PST files in question are about 7.5MB in size. Is there some finite
capacity to the number of messages and or number of bytes a .PST file can
handle before corruption sets in? I'm at a loss as to how to recover the
mails.

If you have a suggestion, thank you in advance. I'll be checking this NG
regularly, but would much appreciate it if you could CC: any responses to my
email addy, as well.

Odds are you aren't going to get them back. Of course I'm sure the PST files
were backed up regularly so you can just grab them from tape right? <g> I
would imagine either the user SHIFT-DELeted them or had the client set to
empty deleted items folder upon exit. In either event with PST files, once
they are gone they are gone. BAD PST BAD
