I just installed Virtual PC 7 on my powerbook G4 (not intel) including
XP professional, All was Ok with internet on XP until I updated to VPC
version 7.0.2. After that I cannot open any websites from XP, I just
get the messages "The page cannot be displayed" and "cannot find server
or dns error - Internet Explorer"

In the Windows Control Panel, go to Network Connections. Open 'Local
Area Connection' and select 'properties'.

Doubleclick on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

Select 'Use the following DNS servers'. Put 4.2.2.2 in the primary
address window. Leave the alternate blank. Close all the Windows. Try

Thank you!!!! I have been having problems with this for over a year and
could never figure out how to fix it. Sometimes my internet would work
in Virtual PC, but usually it wouldn't. I've had people look at it many
times. Today, I did what you just said and it came right up! Thank
goodness for the internet to share information like this! You've made
my day! Happy holidays! ~Suzanne

Unbelievable!

It's great, thank you very much, it works also for me!

How come? Why 4.2.2.2? What's that address?

thanks a lot, i was already going crazy on this.
i have a MAC G5 PPC for a few years and sent all my PC to garbage, now i needed this XP on virtual mode just for a a few stupid things, but with no net it had no use at all, so finally i found some utility for this stupid OS until all softs are made for MAC OS.

Thanks
